Role Overview

As a Data Privacy Manager, you’ll drive the effective implementation of Deloitte’s privacy policies and practices, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. You’ll manage privacy incidents, monitor legal changes, and support global privacy audits, all while enabling data-driven and risk-aware decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee implementation and enforcement of the Firm’s Privacy Policy.
  • Serve as Consent Manager and Grievance Officer when required.
  • Act as single point of contact for Incident Management and external privacy matters.
  • Collaborate with internal audit to perform privacy risk assessments and compliance checks.
  • Review internal privacy controls and ensure alignment with legal standards.
  • Draft and update privacy policies, process templates, and contract clauses.
  • Create and deliver privacy training sessions and workshops.
  • Support policy reviews, contract negotiations, and privacy impact assessments (PIAs).

Qualifications & Expertise

  • Degree in Law, or membership in ICSI, ICAI, or ICMAI; engineering or IT background is a plus.
  • Privacy certifications like IAPP, DCPP, or ISO 27001:2022 preferred.
  • Proficient in privacy frameworks: NIST, ISO 27701, GDPR, and DPP Act 2023.
  • 8–10 years of hands-on experience implementing privacy frameworks in large organizations.
  • Skilled in drafting privacy policies, PIAs, and data protection agreements, including cross-border data transfers.
  • Familiar with BFSI compliance frameworks and regulatory bodies like RBI, SEBI.
  • Proven ability to manage privacy incidents, risk assessments, and stakeholder communications.
