Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Control & Budgeting
- Manage and oversee financial control processes for KRI operations.
- Ensure timely review of Budget vs Actuals, AFEs, and cost allocations.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems and accounting policies.
2. Book Closing & Reconciliation
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Perform reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy of books.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data and documentation.
3. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor KRI-based daily cash flows to ensure operational liquidity.
- Ensure full compliance with treasury controls and internal policies.
4. Payroll Oversight for KRI
- Oversee payroll processing and reporting for Credan and local KRI entities.
- Ensure accurate tax filings (e.g. PIT returns) and compliance with local laws.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll teams for streamlined reporting.
5. Financial Reporting
- Finalize management reports and financial statements for KRI entities.
- Ensure adherence to local accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Deliver actionable insights through data analysis and trend evaluation.
6. Audits (Statutory, Government, Partner)
- Lead audits for statutory financial statements, partner reviews, and government requirements.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and respond to auditor queries.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of audit documentation.
7. Digital Finance & Automation
- Drive automation in recurring and ad hoc financial reports.
- Utilize tools such as Power BI and SAP S/4HANA for data insights.
- Identify and implement best practices in financial reporting.
8. Communication & Liaison
- Collaborate with departments such as Projects, Drilling, and Supply Chain on budgets and contracts.
- Liaise with Kurdish regulators and external auditors for compliance and reporting.
- Report to Director of Accounting & Reporting on all KRI-related finance issues.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification: CA or ACCA
Experience
- 8–10 years of accounting experience, ideally in a multinational or oil & gas firm
- Strong understanding of KRI financial and tax regulations
Technical Proficiency
- SAP S/4HANA (preferred)
- Power BI (a plus)
- Advanced Excel and reporting tools
Soft Skills
