Summary

Responsibilities
- Remote Machinery Surveillance & Troubleshooting: Provide technical oversight and support for machinery operations, including root cause failure analyses.
- Develop & Update Engineering Tools: Create and maintain machinery engineering guides, specifications, and maintenance strategies.
- Inspection & Testing Support: Participate in site inspections, vendor shop testing, and machinery qualification activities.
- Risk Assessment & MOC Evaluation: Contribute to machinery risk assessments, Management of Change evaluations, and reliability improvement programs.
- Supplier & Contractor Oversight: Evaluate and qualify machinery suppliers, oversee engineering contractors, and assess new machinery technologies.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor less experienced machinery engineers to strengthen team capability.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in upstream or downstream oil and gas machinery engineering, operations, or maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, reciprocating engines, pumps, motors, and generators.
- Experience in shutdown planning, maintenance, reliability, machinery selection, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Must not have attended an interview for Machinery Engineer at ExxonMobil in the last year.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with oil and gas production operations and facilities (oil treating, gas processing, compression, measurement, corrosion).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods.
