Key Responsibilities

🔧 Lead Piping Engineering & Project Execution

• Lead piping design engineering for large-scale oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical projects.
• Ensure piping design complies with international and national standards such as ASME, API, NACE, BS, AWWA, and ISO.
• Manage project execution within budget and schedule, coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform discipline and inter-discipline quality and HSE checks to maintain work integrity.
• Conduct technical reviews of piping designs, drawings, and analysis to guarantee accuracy and compliance.

🤝 Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication

• Act as the key liaison between engineering departments, project management, and vendors.
• Collaborate with support engineers to allocate resources, define scope, and plan schedules.
• Participate in technical and progress review meetings to track project status and resolve engineering issues.
• Engage with clients through seminars, workshops, and presentations to support business development.

📋 Planning, Procurement & Documentation

• Provide inputs for project planning, scheduling, and man-hour estimates.
• Identify project-specific subcontracting requirements related to engineering and design.
• Evaluate vendor offers, coordinate with supply chain management, and review engineering & quality documentation post order.
• Maintain project documentation including scope change registers, project hold lists, and status reports for 3D models, procurement, and stress analysis.

🌟 Leadership & Team Management

• Guide and mentor the piping engineering team ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Promote team-building, effective communication, and stress/time management skills within the team.
• Oversee site delegation as per contractual needs, ensuring smooth project delivery.

• Stay updated on latest 3D modeling tools and digitization techniques impacting piping engineering.
• Apply knowledge of piping materials, stress analysis, and vendor evaluation to optimize project outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) in Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline.
• 12-15 years’ experience in piping design, preferably within oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical sectors.
• In-depth understanding of international piping codes and standards (ASME, NACE, API, ISO).
• Proficient in 3D design software and stress analysis tools.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in vendor evaluation, procurement coordination, and contract management.
