The role will involve overseeing all aspects of mechanical equipment selection, EPC contractor design reviews, technical bid evaluations, and supporting commissioning and start-up phases. Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Oversight & Design Review

• Review and approve EPC contractor’s mechanical engineering deliverables.
• Ensure mechanical designs meet company specifications and engineering standards.
• Lead the development of equipment selection concepts and technical studies.

2. Equipment Selection & Procurement

• Check and validate Material Requisitions (MRs) for compliance.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE) and vendor assessments.
• Ensure optimal equipment specifications based on project requirements.

3. Project Execution & Coordination

• Supervise engineering tasks across multiple projects and timelines.
• Assist EPC contractors in producing high-quality engineering and construction documentation.
• Resolve design conflicts and provide viable technical solutions.

4. Construction, Testing & Commissioning

• Audit mechanical installations during construction phases.
• Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning.
• Ensure all rotating and mechanical equipment installations comply with design intent.

5. Vendor & Contractor Communication

• Respond to technical queries, variation requests, and concession approvals.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex engineering issues.

6. Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead and mentor Crescent Petroleum’s machinery engineering team.
• Promote knowledge transfer and continuous skill enhancement.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
• Candidates with exceptional experience and no formal degree may be considered.

Professional Experience

• 15+ years in mechanical engineering, with specialization in rotating equipment.
• Previous experience working with Tier-1 EPC contractors or equipment vendors.
• Experience in oil and gas operations, engineering, and field commissioning.

Technical Competencies

• Strong command over mechanical design standards, codes, and best practices.
• Proficient in EPC project workflows and technical bid evaluations.
• Familiarity with international mechanical equipment specifications.
