Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine sampling and laboratory tests in strict compliance with QatarEnergy LNG standards and procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Collect, process, and prepare samples for testing following chemical handling and safety protocols.
- Record, calculate, and report test results using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) accurately.
- Interpret test data and provide reliable results to support production and quality assurance objectives.
- Assist with laboratory quality control activities, including calibration and performance checks.
- Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies and contribute actively to workplace safety programs.
- Perform quality control surveys and ensure laboratory processes comply with ISO 17025 requirements under supervision.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing methods and chemical/sample handling procedures.
- Proficient in operating laboratory instruments and performing quality control measures.
- Skilled in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting using LIMS and MS Office applications.
- Good communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education (12 years) plus 2 years of formal trade or technical training.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant laboratory experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and quality control requirements, including ISO 17025.
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is highly preferred.
