Responsibilities
As a Junior Quality Engineer at Flex Chennai, you will:
- Develop and implement standards, inspection methods, and evaluation procedures.
- Support supplier approval processes, assessing manufacturing capabilities and HSE risks.
- Assist in new product launches, ensuring supplier quality meets standards.
- Conduct product inspections, discrepancy analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with suppliers for improvements.
- Prepare quality training materials and conduct sessions for teams.
- Review and maintain quality data, consolidating results and reporting KPIs.
- Contribute to quality audits and support audit readiness.
- Promote the use of Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, MSA, and PFMEA techniques.
- Support continuous improvement projects in supplier and production quality.
Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
- 0–2 years of experience in APQP, PPAP, and FMEA in a manufacturing setup (EMS preferred).
- Knowledge of:
- Lean Manufacturing
- Quality and business systems
- TS16949
- Measurement techniques
- Engineering drawings interpretation
- Manufacturing processes
- Strong planning, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office tools.
- Ability to work in a diverse, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
