Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement advanced expediting and logistics strategies to ensure a risk-resilient supply chain supporting complex LNG production and offshore operations.
- Lead governance of international suppliers, monitoring KPIs, contract compliance, and developing contingency plans for key vendors worldwide.
- Manage a corporate-wide Supply Chain Control Tower providing real-time visibility into global freight, vendor performance, and risk mitigation.
Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Negotiate and maintain strong relationships with port authorities, customs, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with international trade laws and seamless cross-border logistics.
- Establish and enforce vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with integrated AI-driven compliance monitoring and penalty mechanisms.
Operations & Innovation
- Oversee logistics for ultra-heavy, oversized, and specialized cargo, including custom chartering, route surveys, and regulatory approvals.
- Drive digital transformation by automating expediting processes using machine learning and robotic process automation (RPA).
- Lead cost-saving initiatives by negotiating volume-based freight contracts and establishing strategic supplier partnerships.
Team Leadership & Sustainability
- Build and nurture a high-performing logistics and expediting team, fostering continuous improvement and leadership development.
- Champion sustainability efforts within logistics, focusing on reducing carbon emissions, optimizing fuel efficiency, and implementing green logistics practices.
- Develop and execute advanced risk management frameworks to proactively address supply chain disruptions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in supply chain strategy, procurement, logistics, and vendor management in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in international trade compliance, customs regulations, and government relations.
- Proficiency with digital supply chain tools, AI applications, and automation technologies like RPA.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commercial discipline, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ direct experience in oil and gas purchasing, procurement, and logistics, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of industry best practices and government relations relevant to international logistics.
