Key Responsibilities
As Head of Digital Technology at QatarEnergy, you will:
- Lead QatarEnergy’s digital transformation roadmap across operations, production, engineering, and drilling.
- Drive adoption of AI, machine learning, cloud-based platforms, and analytics to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee large-scale digital programs with measurable business outcomes and ROI.
- Champion Agile delivery methodologies to accelerate innovation and improve delivery speed.
- Manage digital budgets, vendors, and performance metrics.
- Provide strategic leadership in IoT, cybersecurity, automation, and sustainability-focused digital projects.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and global technology partners to align business and IT goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within digital teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strategic Leadership: 15+ years in Oil & Gas (Operations, Production, Engineering, Drilling, Reservoir, or Geosciences).
- Digital Expertise: At least 6 years in digital transformation roles with experience in AI, ML, Cloud, and analytics.
- Agile Delivery: Proven ability to lead Agile teams with rapid prototyping and iterative delivery.
- Change Management: Strong record of digital adoption and organizational change leadership.
- Financial Acumen: Skilled in managing digital budgets, vendor relationships, and KPIs.
- Industry Insight: Knowledge of Oil & Gas digital trends, sustainability, IoT, and automation.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills at executive level.
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Energy Management, or related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are highly desirable.
- Professional certifications in Agile, Cloud, AI, or Digital Transformation are an advantage.
