Key Responsibilities
As a GPU Verification Engineer, your day-to-day will include:
- Verifying digital design blocks (e.g., GPU, CPU, image processors) based on design specs.
- Developing and improving constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Writing and analyzing SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and working with formal verification tools.
- Creating coverage models and closing functional and code coverage metrics.
- Collaborating closely with design engineers to debug and validate design functionality.
- Identifying verification gaps and helping drive the tape-out readiness of Google’s custom silicon chips.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with GPU workloads, architecture, and verification.
- Proficiency with SystemVerilog, UVM, and AMBA bus protocols (AHB/AXI/ACE).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with ASIC performance verification and low-power design techniques.
- Familiarity with formal verification methodologies and assertion-based verification.
- Background in consumer hardware, mobile silicon, or high-efficiency processor design.
