Key Responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and security of data used for dashboards and analytics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in time-sensitive situations.
- Create proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and support research for new data solutions.
- Enforce data governance, performance optimization, and security policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and review team contributions for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders across Finance, HR, Marketing, Risk, and IT.
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of SQL, data modeling, and relational database design.
- Hands-on expertise in ETL/ELT processes and performance optimization.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Snowflake (mandatory).
- Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub/Bitbucket).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of data engineering and data warehouse project experience.
- Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Understanding of SCD, CDC, DQ/DV frameworks for data quality and governance.
