Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and calibration of diverse field instruments installed in refinery plants and units.
  • Assist Lead Instrument Engineer in the execution of instrumentation projects and routine maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure proper installation, commissioning, and operational integrity of smart field instruments interfaced with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Apply knowledge of hazardous area classifications and adhere to safety standards during all instrumentation tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of instrument maintenance, calibration, and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support uninterrupted refinery operations.

Skills & Experience

  • 6 to 8 years’ practical experience as an Instrument Technician in refinery, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement principles and field instrument installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with smart instrumentation and integration with DCS and PLC systems.
  • Understanding of hazardous area classification and compliance with international instrumentation standards.
  • Proficient in English communication (spoken and written).
  • Experience working in Arabian Gulf countries is an advantage.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a multinational and fast-paced environment.

Educational Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Instrumentation or Control Systems Engineering from a recognized technical college or university.
