Key Responsibilities
Formwork Management & Site Coordination
- Deploy and supervise workmen gangs as per site formwork in-charge instructions.
- Monitor formwork activities ensuring strict adherence to formwork scheme drawings and construction methodologies.
- Coordinate with carpentry workshop for preparation and arrangement of formwork shuttering.
- Ensure Bill of Quantities (BOQ) targets for formwork are met and required materials are available at the site.
Safety & Quality Assurance
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings before the start of formwork activities.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety guidelines and report deviations immediately.
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety across all formwork operations.
Productivity & Progress Monitoring
- Oversee productivity by maintaining proper gang sizes and training workmen regularly to improve efficiency.
- Record daily progress of formwork activities and gang deployments across different site areas.
- Implement new quality and productivity improvement initiatives as proposed by HQ and cluster teams.
Material Handling & Housekeeping
- Ensure materials are stored, stacked properly, and reconciled regularly.
- Monitor housekeeping standards at site yards and work areas; coordinate with subcontractors for corrective actions if needed.
Skills & Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of formwork systems and site operations.
- Strong understanding of site safety protocols and ability to conduct safety briefings.
- Proficient in reading and implementing formwork scheme drawings and BOQs.
- Excellent coordination and team management skills to oversee workmen gangs.
- Ability to maintain quality control and ensure timely project progress.
- Familiarity with construction methodologies and hands-on site experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (BE), or Bachelor of Technology (BTech).
- 2 to 30 years of relevant experience in formwork supervision within construction or building projects.
