Key Responsibilities
As a Fired Equipment Engineer at ExxonMobil Bengaluru, you will:
- Provide technical guidance and thermal analysis for fired equipment (heaters, boilers, HRSGs, flares, oxidizers).
- Support design, operation, troubleshooting, optimization, and reliability improvements for global assets.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, vendor qualifications, and bid evaluations.
- Conduct project support, engineering surveillance, and shop inspections.
- Provide turnaround/shutdown support at operating sites when required.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure compliance with API, NFPA, and safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (60%+ or equivalent CGPA).
- 5+ years’ experience in fired equipment design in the oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of API, NFPA, and industry design standards.
- Expertise in heat transfer, combustion design, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Experience with burner management systems, control systems, and refractory materials.
- Proven track record as lead fired equipment engineer on capital projects.
- Hands-on exposure to field engineering, construction, and oil & gas facility operations.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with vendor management, industry contacts, and field troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of plant operations and turnaround priorities.
- Ability to coordinate and lead design reviews, HAZOPs, and vendor evaluations.
- Multi-disciplinary exposure beyond fired equipment specialization.
- Familiarity with global oil & gas operations and international work environments.
