Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Financial and Legal Entity Controllers to prepare and review financial statements across multiple JPMorgan legal entities and geographies.
- Research, escalate, and resolve exceptions to the general ledger and interfacing systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Perform monthly General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation processes.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements during reporting and month-end close activities.
- Validate reference data for account hierarchies and maintain consistency across systems.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system implementations, changes, and other business initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS standards.
- Ability to understand data flows and their impact across ledgers, RMS, and reporting systems.
- Knowledge of investment banking products, including securities and derivatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to take accountability in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills to build strong partnerships across onshore and Mumbai teams.
Preferred Skills
- CA or MBA qualification with 4+ years of relevant financial control experience.
- Previous experience as a Controller or in a corporate finance leadership support role.
- Familiarity with corporate finance systems, reporting platforms, and process automation.
