Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Control
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through internal control frameworks.
- Enforce compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct regular transaction audits and reconciliations.
2. Book Closing
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Coordinate interdepartmental documentation for book closure.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and trial balances.
3. Treasury Management
- Manage daily cash flows and liquidity positions.
- Generate treasury and investment performance reports.
- Ensure compliance in all treasury transactions and controls.
- Leverage treasury systems for efficiency and accuracy.
4. Financial Reporting
- Produce timely financial reports—P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
- Analyze data to deliver actionable business insights.
- Ensure alignment with IFRS, regulatory, and internal standards.
5. Compliance & Audit
- Stay updated on IFRS standards and regional compliance changes.
- Support internal and external audit processes with thorough documentation.
- Maintain clear and detailed SOPs for all financial processes.
6. Digital Finance Initiatives
- Drive automation in regular and ad-hoc reporting.
- Use Power BI and SAP to streamline financial data visualization.
- Participate in cross-departmental digital transformation projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Qualified CA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- IFRS certification is a strong advantage.
Technical Proficiency
- SAP (especially FICO, MM, PS, BPC modules).
- Advanced MS Excel and Power BI.
- Familiarity with modern financial systems and ERPs.
Professional Experience
- 6–8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in finance.
- Preferably from Oil & Gas industry or Big 4 audit firms.
- Experience managing a team (2–5 people).
