Summary
EY is hiring a Senior Manager – FAAS (Record to Report / R2R) in Kochi to lead global financial reporting projects and end-to-end Record to Report services across Americas and EMEIA regions. This role involves managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing, consolidation, fixed asset accounting, and variance analysis, while supervising a team of 6–10 finance professionals. The ideal candidate will have 7–12 years of experience in IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and financial reporting, with expertise in SAP, FloQast, Concur, Ariba, and other ERP and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books and financial statements.
- Process journal entries, allocations, period-end adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Manage consolidation, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and variance reporting.
- Perform pre-close activities, fixed asset accounting, capital project monitoring, and depreciation calculation.
- Create project account codes and monitor budget vs. actuals for capital projects.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead a team of 6–10 members, including engagement PMO activities.
- Provide guidance, review team outputs, and ensure quality and timely delivery of client work.
- Support Senior Managers in business development and client relationship management.
- Build SOPs, training materials, and implement structured learning paths for team members.
Compliance & Technical Expertise
- Ensure adherence to KPIs, SLAs, and escalate issues when required.
- Provide technical accounting guidance under US GAAP/IFRS/UK GAAP.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, industry practices, and emerging technologies.
- Maintain effective coordination with multiple stakeholders across geographies.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, lease accounting, and technical accounting research.
- Hands-on experience in Business Unit/Entity-level reporting, R2R, financial statement close, consolidation.
- Proficient with ERP tools: SAP (public cloud), SAC, FloQast, Concur, Ariba, Active Disclosures, FIS.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research and address emerging client issues and provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- CA, ACCA (UK), CPA, or MBA from a reputed institute.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in Entity/BU reporting, R2R, financial statement close, and MIS reporting.
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Familiarity with SAP S4/Hana (public/private cloud).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analytics/visualization tools.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice as required.
