Job Summary
Join Ernst & Young (EY) as a Senior SAP MDG Consultant in Bengaluru. You will play a key role in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions for large enterprises. This role offers exposure to end-to-end SAP MDG implementations, integration with SAP ECC and S/4HANA, and master data domains such as Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance.
As an SAP MDG Senior Consultant, you will guide clients on process design, data quality management, workflows, and system enhancements, helping organizations streamline and govern their master data effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions for Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance master data domains.
- Conduct workshops to capture business requirements and prepare business blueprint documents.
- Create functional specifications, configuration documents, and training materials.
- Support testing, data model enhancements, and process validation across MDG environments.
- Integrate SAP MDG with SAP ECC, S/4HANA (On-premise & Cloud), and Data Services Information Steward.
- Implement workflow, BRFplus, data replication, and validation/derivation rules.
- Advise clients on solution approaches, best practices, and technical feasibility.
- Ensure master data quality and consistency across integrated SAP landscapes.
Skills & Attributes
- Expertise in SAP MDG EhP6 & MDG 8.0/9.0/1909.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MDG integration with ECC, S/4HANA, and Cloud solutions.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end MDG implementation, preferably on 3 projects (at least 2 S/4HANA migrations or implementations).
- Proficiency in Data Model Enhancement, Data Transfer (DIF/DEF), DRF, BRFplus, and rule-based workflow.
- Experience with user interface modelling, process modelling, BAdIs, and custom enhancements.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP modules (SD, MM, FICO) and master data governance best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Qualifications
- College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of SAP MDG development and implementation experience.
- SAP MDG certification is a plus.
Preferred / Good-to-Have
- Broad knowledge of SAP ERP IT systems and integration with legacy systems.
- Understanding of third-party interfaces, data conversion, roles and authorizations.
- End-to-end master data process knowledge and attention to detail.
