This senior leadership role is based in Bengaluru with flexibility to work across India. About the Role

As Associate Director – Data & AI Strategy at EY, you will:

• Develop forward-looking Data & AI strategies aligned with client business goals.
• Drive AI adoption and enterprise-wide implementation across industries.
• Conceptualize, design, and deliver data-driven technology solutions.
• Collaborate with technical architects, product owners, SMEs, and developers.
• Stay ahead of industry trends by evaluating emerging AI technologies.

This role is highly client-facing and requires strong leadership, consulting expertise, and the ability to drive large-scale transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of Data & AI strategy roadmaps.
• Oversee data architecture, governance, and quality frameworks.
• Manage complex cloud migration projects (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Develop and deploy machine learning and AI/ML solutions at scale.
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams.
• Support business development with proposals, POVs, and client engagements.
• Guide organizations through data modernization, advanced analytics, and digital transformation.

Skills & Attributes for Success

• Strong expertise in data warehousing, mining, governance, and quality.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (Keras, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• 10+ years’ hands-on experience in data science & AI/ML product creation.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, Kafka.
• Skilled in SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL with strong data modeling.
• Solid cloud architecture and cost optimization experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and global client management skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 15–17 years of total experience, with:
  • 10+ years in Data Strategy & Architecture.
  • 7+ years in AI Strategy & Implementation.
• Proven track record in big data platforms, cloud migrations, BI/DWH best practices.
• Experience mentoring teams and leading large global engagements.
• Exposure to multiple tools & technologies: Python, Spark, Informatica, AngularJS, Tableau, Power BI (preferred).
