Key Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time delivery of critical materials to support oil and gas operations, including shutdowns and project schedules.
- Proactively communicate with:
- Suppliers and contractors
- Freight forwarders
- Warehouse and logistics teams
- End-user departments and buyers
- Act as the first point of contact for resolving delivery delays, non-compliance issues, and critical supply challenges.
- Monitor and expedite materials in support of turnaround and emergency operations.
- Maintain visibility on non-compliant materials (CNR) and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Prepare status reports and dashboards for internal distribution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the materials management and logistics process.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in expediting or procurement, preferably in an oil and gas or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of:
- Technical specifications and international standards
- Import/export regulations and INCOTERMS
- Units of measure and delivery documentation
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; SAP experience is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Educational Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma in a technical or business field is required.
- A university degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management is preferred.
