Responsibilities
- Lead segment lifting, gluing, and temporary & permanent stressing activities as per the project plan.
- Arrange and manage resources and manpower inputs across multiple shifts to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct daily progress reviews and program updates with the Project Manager.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly material and resource requirement forecasts.
- Coordinate communication and handovers between different shift engineers.
- Submit timely Request for Information (RFI) and other documentation per project requirements.
- Ensure safe working conditions and promote safe acts among all workers and machinery operators.
- Maintain strict quality control throughout all stages of erection and installation.
- Document and maintain process reports in compliance with ISO standards.
- Coordinate with precast yards to ensure the timely and quality supply of girders.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of girder types and launching processes specific to heavy civil construction.
- Expertise in post-tensioning methods, including stressing and gluing.
- Familiarity with site execution, construction safety protocols, and applicable legal regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multi-shift operations and coordinate teams effectively.
- Experience in maintaining high-quality standards on complex infrastructure projects.
- Prior work experience in metro rail or heavy civil infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in erection and site execution within heavy civil infrastructure or metro rail projects.
