Key Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering initiatives in India, overseeing global and regional New Product Introduction (NPI), quality enhancements, assembly line support, and commercial engineering requests.
• Manage and mentor a team of 6-8 engineers, fostering professional growth and ensuring project delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and efficiency across engineering projects.
• Drive Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) programs, addressing production challenges and enhancing product performance.
• Oversee machine performance functions such as linkage design, powertrain analysis, specification generation, and competitive evaluation for worldwide product development.
• Manage warranty and field issue resolutions in coordination with the Product Support Team to ensure dealer and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and budget for the engineering team.

Required Skills & Expertise

Technical & Engineering Leadership

• Deep expertise in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product development, NPI processes, and quality improvements—preferably in wheeled loader machinery.
• Proven ability to manage engineering teams, providing clear direction, mentoring, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Project & Resource Management

• Strong skills in prioritizing multiple engineering projects, optimizing resources, and balancing competing priorities under tight deadlines.

Communication & Collaboration

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead diverse teams and liaise effectively with global stakeholders.
• Experience working across cultures and geographic locations, respecting and adapting to cultural differences.

Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

• Ability to guide strategic initiatives with a clear focus on business goals and technical excellence.
• Skilled in problem-solving to rapidly resolve production issues and improve engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
• At least 3-5 years of experience managing engineering teams or projects.
• Demonstrated success in leading product engineering teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%.
• Availability for domestic relocation if required.
