Key Responsibilities
As a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Engineer at ADNOC Gas, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, and gearboxes
- Performing root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implementing corrective actions
- Developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for rotating machinery
- Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with HSE, quality, and engineering standards
- Supporting shutdown and turnaround planning related to rotating assets
- Reviewing and updating equipment documentation, maintenance records, and technical reports
- Coordinating with vendors, OEMs, and internal departments for technical support and spare parts
Key Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- Expertise in rotating equipment maintenance in oil & gas or petrochemical environments
- Knowledge of vibration analysis, alignment, condition monitoring, and diagnostics
- Familiarity with OEM equipment manuals and industry standards (API, ISO)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working with CMMS software and digital maintenance tools
- Team leadership, communication, and project coordination skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance within oil & gas
- Prior experience working in an onshore oilfield environment is highly preferred
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage
- Certifications in vibration analysis or reliability engineering (desirable)
