Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer – Planning, your day-to-day role will include:
- Providing planning and materials expertise to the Customer Focus Team (CFT).
- Ensuring on-time material support for production orders and meeting customer schedules.
- Monitoring inventory levels vs. goals and generating shortage reports with detailed comments.
- Submitting excess and obsolete inventory reports to customers.
- Managing work orders, inventory, MRB, and DR processes to meet operational goals.
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) accounts with fast and effective materials planning.
- Collecting, analyzing, and cleaning data for planning teams based on CFT inputs.
- Coordinating with suppliers to expedite material availability in line with MRP.
- Preparing Clear to Build (CTB) reports using Kinaxis simulations and available data.
- Assisting planners in master production schedule generation.
- Driving excess mitigation strategies with site buyers.
- Ensuring adherence to all materials planning procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in materials planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain demand analysis (pull-ins and push-outs).
- Proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOMs) and product structure understanding.
- Hands-on experience with Master Scheduling and MRP systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Supply Chain practices.
- Strong skills in Advanced Excel and Intermediate PowerPoint.
- Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
