Responsibilities
As a Metallurgy & Corrosion Engineer at ADNOC GAS O&M, you will:
- Develop and implement corrosion control programs to protect pipelines, pressure vessels, and process equipment.
- Perform metallurgical analysis and material selection for new projects and asset maintenance.
- Monitor and analyze corrosion data, conducting failure investigations and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to recommend preventive and corrective actions.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess equipment integrity.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and maintenance plans related to metallurgy and corrosion.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, metallurgical principles, and materials engineering.
- Experience with corrosion monitoring tools, NDT methods, and laboratory testing.
- Ability to analyze data and provide actionable recommendations for corrosion mitigation.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NACE, API, ASTM, and ADNOC technical guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in using engineering software and CMMS systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in metallurgy and corrosion engineering, preferably within oil and gas or energy sectors.
- Certification from recognized corrosion or materials organizations (e.g., NACE, AWS) is advantageous.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are a plus.
