Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring a Director – Remote Connectivity in Boston, London, or Gurgaon. This global leadership role focuses on designing and evolving BCG’s remote access infrastructure, including VPN, Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE). With responsibility for connectivity serving 50,000+ users worldwide, this position is ideal for experienced leaders in enterprise networking, remote access, and security engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Architecture Leadership

• Define and execute the global remote connectivity strategy, including VPN, ZTNA, and SASE.
• Architect secure, high-performance, software-defined networking solutions.
• Embed zero-trust principles and align connectivity architecture with enterprise security and cloud strategies.

Engineering & Operations

• Lead deployment and lifecycle of remote access platforms such as Cisco AnyConnect, Zscaler, Palo Alto.
• Automate provisioning, policy enforcement, and configuration via Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to improve system performance and uptime.
• Establish observability with real-time metrics, logs, and telemetry.

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with corporate security and privacy policies.
• Integrate remote connectivity with incident response, governance, and threat detection.
• Enforce secure access policies for BYOD, contractors, and third-party devices.

Collaboration & User Experience

• Partner with cyber, architecture, and global networking teams for aligned solutions.
• Enhance end-user experience, ensuring secure, reliable, and seamless hybrid work access.
• Eliminate user pain points through innovation and support improvements.

Scalability & Service Excellence

• Build scalable, secure connectivity for a global workforce of 50,000+.
• Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs to measure service quality and end-user performance.
• Drive analytics, monitoring, and service improvements focused on availability and security.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead a global team of remote connectivity engineers.
• Foster a culture of automation, reliability, and knowledge sharing.
• Promote best practices across network and security functions.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise networking, remote access, or network security.
• Expertise in VPNs, ZTNA, and SASE platforms (Zscaler, Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of zero-trust architecture, segmentation, and access control.
• Proven ability to scale solutions for tens of thousands of global users.
• Experience with IaC, automation, observability tools, and SRE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, Zscaler Certified.
• Familiarity with hybrid work and cloud networking models.
• Background in network performance optimization and security compliance.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $181,000 – $221,000 (USD)
• Bonus: Up to 30% performance-based
• Retirement Contribution: 5% (increasing to 10% after 2 years)
