Key Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer at Halliburton, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate deployment workflows.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate routine tasks and streamline cloud infrastructure management to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues to ensure high system availability.
- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous delivery and operational excellence initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Document infrastructure architecture and processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on DevOps experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Python, Linux Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and Java.
- Experience developing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes, and package management using Helm.
- Familiarity with security, identity management, and diagnostic tools (e.g., Active Directory, Okta, Wireshark, New Relic, GitLab SAST/DAST).
- Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry-recognized DevOps or cloud certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas domain technology is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams.
