Key Responsibilities
As a Desktop Testing Lead, you will:
- Lead the desktop testing team and drive quality assurance initiatives.
- Develop and implement robust testing strategies for SCCM, Intune, and Munki deployments.
- Validate and test Autopilot builds, Intune policies, and Windows loadsets.
- Monitor and test Windows Update for Business (WUfB) for feature and quality updates.
- Execute and analyze Nexthink remote action scripts to optimize desktop performance.
- Maintain documentation of test cases, defects, and resolutions.
- Conduct Mercury Testing for MST files based on technical requirements.
- Generate and deliver detailed test summary reports to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with deployment, transition, and product teams to ensure successful rollouts.
- Stay current on emerging desktop testing trends and technologies.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Munki, and Autopilot.
- Strong understanding of Windows desktop environments and system configuration.
- Hands-on experience with WUfB, desktop loadsets, and update testing.
- Familiarity with Nexthink and its scripting/monitoring features.
- Knowledge of Mercury Testing, test automation, and bug tracking tools.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in desktop software testing or infrastructure roles.
- At least 2 years of experience leading a QA or testing team.
- Experience with automation tools or scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.
- Microsoft or ITIL certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
