Key Responsibilities
As Deputy Manager – QA Testing, you will be responsible for quality leadership and strategic QA process improvement. Key duties include:
- Provide technical leadership to QA teams across manual and automated testing.
- Drive long-term solutions to optimize QA processes, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with business teams and product managers to define test coverage.
- Lead defect triage and ensure continuous defect resolution and documentation.
- Plan and execute CI/CD test automation strategy across projects.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on test results, coverage, and quality metrics.
- Mentor and coach team members, encouraging process discipline and accountability.
- Engage with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and support.
- Ensure test sign-off and closure of testing phases with proper documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
Candidates should possess:
- 5–8 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- 3+ years leading and managing QA teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile testing, Scrum, and iterative development models.
- Experience with SaaS and Cloud environments.
- Proficiency in defect tracking tools like JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and test management tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot, document, and analyze defects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, cross-functional work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Professional certifications such as ISTQB, Scrum Master, or Agile QA.
- Exposure to modern QA concepts and tools such as CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevOps practices.
