Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Manager – IT Control Testing Specialist, you will:
- Develop and maintain expertise in IT control frameworks and regulatory standards such as SOX.
- Lead and perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify IT control gaps and prioritize audit activities.
- Independently design, execute, and document detailed test plans for IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC) using both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Apply knowledge across key IT domains: Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Access Control, Security Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Change Management, and Identity Access Review.
- Analyze complex audit findings, identify control weaknesses, and recommend effective remediation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to address deficiencies and improve control effectiveness.
- Mentor and guide junior auditors in IT control testing best practices.
- Stay current with emerging IT risks, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices to enhance audit quality.
- Evaluate and propose automation opportunities to optimize manual testing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in IT audit, IT control testing, or cybersecurity auditing.
- Strong knowledge of IT control frameworks such as SOX and related compliance requirements.
- Proficient with GRC platforms and audit tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
- Experience with IT audit automation tools and processes is a plus.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment with evolving client demands.
Location & Work Environment
- Primary Work Location: Bengaluru (Bangalore), with opportunities in Hyderabad.
- Frequent collaboration with client teams; occasional travel may be required.
