Key Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Deputy Manager, you will:
- Implement, audit, and sustain ISO 27001-based Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
- Advise clients on Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR).
- Conduct risk assessments across security domains including access control, compliance, incident response, and backup processes.
- Lead assessments on client infrastructure and recommend improvements in IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
- Perform vendor risk assessments, evaluate third-party exposures, and design mitigation strategies.
- Guide clients in developing asset classification, information handling, and data protection frameworks.
- Conduct Information Systems audits, including physical security, antivirus, and user access reviews.
- Advise on privacy regulations, data leakage prevention (DLP), identity & access management (IAM), and encryption strategies.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) in client engagements, leading security solution design and implementation.
- Manage mid-level client relationships, deliver engagements on time, and support business development.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of security frameworks like ISO/IEC 27001, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 22301.
- Hands-on experience with data protection technologies: encryption, data masking, redaction.
- Familiarity with tools like Archer, OpenPages, and risk register management systems.
- In-depth experience in auditing, policy writing, and security architecture design.
- Ability to work independently, manage deliverables, and lead small teams.
- Effective communicator with analytical mindset and client-facing experience.
- Skilled in managing engagement delivery, mitigating project risks, and improving profitability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (Tier 1/Tier 2 colleges preferred).
- Industry certifications such as:
- ISO 27001 LA/LI
- CISSP, CISA, CISM
- ISO 22301 LA/LI, ISO 31000
- CEH, GSEC, LPT, CCSK
- Prior consulting experience or project delivery in cybersecurity, GRC, or BCP/DR is a plus.
