About the Role
As a Deputy Manager – Cybersecurity (IBM IAM Verify), you’ll lead a team of analysts managing Security Operations, incident detection, and threat response across enterprise environments. You’ll collaborate with project managers and SIEM engineering teams to fine-tune use cases, reduce false positives, and enhance overall detection accuracy.
Your expertise will help protect Deloitte’s clients from evolving cyber threats while ensuring high-quality operations, compliance, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Security Operations & Team Management
- Lead a team of L1 and L2 SOC engineers across shifts, ensuring seamless ticket management and shift handovers.
- Conduct quality audits on offense analysis and incident investigations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to manage escalations and deliver Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
- Maintain operational discipline and manage team workload effectively.
2. Threat Detection & Response
- Conduct advanced log analysis and incident triage for network, endpoint, and cloud environments.
- Proactively hunt for potential threats using tools like Cortex, Shodan, and QRadar.
- Identify Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) and perform malware analysis.
- Implement best practices for incident response and threat containment.
3. SIEM & IAM Integration
- Work with the SIEM engineering team to fine-tune detection rules and correlation logic.
- Optimize IBM QRadar use cases to minimize false positives and improve response accuracy.
- Support IBM IAM Verify solutions to strengthen identity and access management controls.
4. Process Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly security reports.
- Maintain detailed SOPs, playbooks, and security operation policies.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and internal Deloitte cybersecurity standards.
- Support internal and external audits with detailed security documentation.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Deep understanding of Cybersecurity Operations, Incident Response, and Threat Analysis.
- Hands-on experience with QRadar SIEM, Demisto/XSOAR, Qualys, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, WAF, IPS, and EDR tools.
- Experience managing SOC teams and maintaining 24×7 operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to train and mentor security analysts on new attack vectors and detection methods.
Preferred Certifications
- IBM QRadar SIEM Certification
- CISSP, CEH, CISM, or related cybersecurity credentials
Educational Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (Tier 1/2 Institutes preferred).
