Key Responsibilities
As a Databricks Consultant – Data Engineer, you will:
- Design & Develop Data Pipelines using Databricks notebooks for ingestion, transformation, and loading into data lakes
- Build Scalable Workflows with Spark (PySpark/Spark SQL) following coding best practices
- Collaborate with Stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop Data Models & Schemas for analytics and reporting
- Ensure Data Quality & Security with validation checks and compliance practices
- Optimize Performance of data workflows and troubleshoot bottlenecks
- Stay Current with Databricks advancements, big data, and cloud technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience: 6–9 years in data engineering, with Databricks project experience
- Strong expertise in Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modeling
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
- Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional consulting environments
