IBM India is seeking a Data Engineer – Data Platforms (Google) in Hyderabad to join its IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center. In this role, you will leverage big data, cloud platforms, and analytics to drive enterprise solutions for clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in data migration, GCP/Hadoop platforms, API development, and modern data architectures, enabling IBM clients to transform and modernize their data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and validate predictive and statistical models using big data tools.
- Migrate and convert databases from Hadoop to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build enterprise search applications such as Elasticsearch and Splunk based on client requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Develop data integration pipelines and efficiently cleanse and manage complex, unstructured datasets.
- Lead workshops and playbacks to analyze application dependencies and database compatibility.
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as security, HA, RTO/RPO, storage, compute, network, and performance benchmarks are met.
- Guide the team in adopting the right tools for data migration and modernization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Experience with Hadoop, GCP, database migration, and data replication mechanisms (CDC, bulk transfer, API exposure).
- Strong skills in data analysis, modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Hands-on experience in data integration and transformation pipelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong teamwork and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Experience with modern data management platforms and cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with data governance, security standards, and performance optimization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and client interactions.
