Role Overview
As a Data Engineer at IMC, you’ll oversee and enhance our trading data infrastructure—ranging from storage systems to orchestration platforms. Your work will directly support traders, developers, and analysts, ensuring data integrity, performance, and accessibility. You’ll also champion automation and CI/CD to deliver quick, reliable deployments and strong operational resilience. IMC Trading
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor distributed systems and data storage platforms, including HDFS, Kubernetes, Dremio, and in-house pipelines. IMC Trading
- Drive systems automation and CI/CD processes to enable rapid, reliable infrastructure deployments. IMC Trading
- Collaborate with systems/network engineers, traders, and developers to support data access, troubleshoot issues, and deliver innovative solutions. IMC Trading
- Stay informed of industry trends and propose cutting-edge technologies to continuously improve the data platform. IMC Trading
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- 5–7 years of experience managing multi-petabyte data infrastructure. IMC Trading
- Advanced Linux administration and deep troubleshooting expertise. IMC Trading
- Proficiency in at least one of: Kafka, Spark, Cassandra/Scylla, or HDFS. IMC Trading
- Strong working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and orchestration tools. IMC Trading
- Experience with Dremio, Presto, and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Prefect). IMC Trading
- Familiarity with cloud platforms—AWS, GCP, or Azure. IMC Trading
- Skilled in CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git). IMC Trading
