Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Executive, you will:

• Monitor and triage SIEM alerts and security events in a 24×7 SOC environment
• Analyze and respond to potential cyber threats, intrusions, and security incidents
• Conduct malware analysis and identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
• Configure and maintain security monitoring tools to optimize threat detection
• Escalate high-priority incidents to L3 teams and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain and update incident response protocols, runbooks, and workflows
• Perform log analysis across multiple sources and differentiate between true threats and false positives
• Apply frameworks like Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK for incident investigation and reporting
• Support continuous improvement of SOC processes and threat mitigation strategies

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Google SecOps, IBM QRadar, FireEye, Microsoft Defender
• Familiarity with SOAR platforms and XDR technologies
• Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching
• Strong understanding of cyber-attack techniques, risk management, and incident response
• Proficiency in Windows event log analysis
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced SOC environment

Preferred Certifications

• IBM QRadar SIEM Certification
• CISSP, CEH, CISM, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
• 2–5 years of experience in SOC monitoring, SIEM, and cyber threat detection
• Exposure to 24×7 security operations, incident handling, and advanced threat analysis
