Key Responsibilities
- Develop, extend, and maintain SAP applications using the ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud Platform environments.
- Build and consume OData services compliant with RAP standards to ensure seamless integration with SAP Fiori/UI5 front-end applications.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and technical teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Design database models, business logic, and service layers leveraging CDS views, BOPF, and RAP frameworks.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and assist in performance tuning of RAP applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RAP development and support production environments effectively.
- Document technical specifications, development standards, and best practices for team knowledge sharing.
- Participate actively in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team skill development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on the ABAP RAP framework.
- Proven experience in developing and consuming OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 integration.
- Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and SAP Cloud Platform development.
- Hands-on experience with CDS views, BOPF, and related SAP development methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and teamwork.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP certifications in ABAP, RAP, or SAP S/4HANA development.
- Experience with SAP Cloud SDK and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines within SAP landscapes.
