Summary
Kroll is seeking a Consultant in Portfolio Valuation based in New Delhi, India to join its Global Business Solutions (GBS) – Portfolio Valuations Advisory Services team. This role offers exposure to alternative investment valuations, including illiquid securities, private equity, hedge funds, and fund-of-funds positions. The Consultant will support global valuation engagements, build expertise in financial modeling, and develop skills in client advisory, reporting, and industry research. Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service and responsiveness.
- Understand client requirements and provide high-quality valuation advisory solutions.
Portfolio Valuation & Technical Analysis
- Develop expertise in alternative asset valuations, including securities without active market quotes.
- Conduct DCF, comparable company, stock option, and financial instrument modeling.
- Review and validate valuation methodologies for accuracy and compliance.
Project & Engagement Management
- Manage client engagements from planning to delivery, including team staffing and work plan oversight.
- Conduct industry research and prepare reports on emerging sectors and Unicorn valuations.
- Participate in client interviews, market research, and report writing.
Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring
- Serve as a technical resource in portfolio valuations.
- Share knowledge through mentoring junior staff and training colleagues on valuation best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in valuation-related roles within financial services.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or CFA/MBA.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
- Proven experience in client engagement and relationship management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
