Summary
Kroll is seeking a Consultant in Portfolio Valuation to join its Mumbai office within the Global Business Solutions (GBS) – Portfolio Valuations Advisory Services team. This role offers the opportunity to support the valuation of alternative investments, including illiquid securities for hedge funds, private equity funds, business development corporations, and fund-of-funds. The position is ideal for professionals with 3–6 years of experience in financial services who want to deepen their expertise in portfolio valuation, financial modeling, and alternative asset analysis, while collaborating with global teams in the US and EMEA.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term client relationships through exceptional service and responsiveness.
- Understand client needs and deliver high-quality work products.
Valuation & Analysis
- Conduct valuation analyses on a wide range of public and private entities across industries.
- Develop and review financial models including DCF, comparable company, stock option, and financial instrument models.
- Contribute to industry and sector research, including coverage reports on global Unicorns.
Project & Engagement Management
- Manage day-to-day client engagements, including resource planning, staffing, and project execution.
- Conduct project management activities, including client interviews, report writing, and market research.
- Collaborate with global teams across US and EMEA on valuation projects.
Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring
- Develop deep technical expertise in alternative asset valuation.
- Share knowledge and support mentoring and training for junior staff.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in valuation, financial analysis, or alternative assets.
- CA, CFA, Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or MBA from an accredited institution.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, confident in presenting to senior management.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
- Hands-on experience with financial modeling tools and Excel.
