Key Responsibilities

• Capture and document business problems, value drivers, and functional requirements, including HSE, usability, data, and supportability considerations.
• Translate business requirements into functional solutions; assess risks, feasibility, and business impact.
• Maintain requirement traceability throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software vendors, designers, and developers to align solutions with business needs.
• Create acceptance criteria and coordinate testing to validate solutions.
• Prepare compelling business cases to justify solution value and secure approvals and funding.
• Lead business analysis activities within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters.
• Stay updated on relevant technologies and architectures to propose innovative solutions.
• Facilitate stakeholder management and large design sessions.
• Propose improvements in costs, processes, data, technology, and functionality to support strategic goals.
• Guide stakeholders to obtain acceptance and approvals despite competing priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in process flows, process design, and systems analysis.
• Knowledge of Design Thinking methodology and ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques.
• Hands-on experience in Waterfall and Agile project frameworks.
• Strong ability in data/process analysis, modeling, and documentation.
• Skilled in developing cost-benefit analyses and building business cases.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including EU hours.
• Proficiency with MS Visio, Figma, and Azure DevOps.
• Certifications (preferred): CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum certifications.

Domain Expertise Required

• Oil & Gas Sector: Trading & Supply (T&S) operations including Product Trading, Crude Trading, Energy Trading, LNG Marketing & Trading.
• Experience with ETRMs, supply chain optimization, commercial operations, distribution, midstream, shipping, and maritime operations.
• Knowledge of commodity trading regulations including EMIR (EU), REMIT (EU), MAS (Singapore), and ASIC (Australia).
• Ability to collaborate with Compliance, Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, Procurement, HSE, and IT teams.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–10 years of business analysis experience, preferably in O&G Finance Transformation.
• Professional certifications preferred: CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum.
