Key Responsibilities
As a Database Developer / Consultant – DBA, you will:
- Install, configure, and upgrade database software and tools.
- Monitor and maintain database performance and availability.
- Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Perform regular backups and recovery operations.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database errors and performance issues.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with developers and system admins on application deployment.
- Plan for scalability and capacity growth.
Required Skills & Expertise
- 6+ years of proven experience as a DBA, Database Developer, or Database Engineer.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- In-depth knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Tech / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Certifications in Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or Cloud Databases (OCP, Azure DBA).
- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
