Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and triage security alerts using IBM QRadar SIEM and other monitoring tools
- Perform initial incident classification and investigation to identify potential cybersecurity threats
- Escalate verified security incidents to SOC Level 2 analysts and Incident Response teams promptly
- Document incident details, response actions, and outcomes in the incident management system
- Support containment and mitigation efforts during security incidents
- Use threat intelligence feeds and SOAR tools to enhance detection and response capabilities
- Generate and share security reports and key metrics with internal stakeholders
- Participate in post-incident reviews to recommend process improvements
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
- Work effectively in a 24×7 SOC environment with rotational shift flexibility
Required Skills & Expertise
- Hands-on experience with IBM QRadar SIEM platform configuration, management, and optimization
- Proficiency with SOAR tools for automated security orchestration and response
- Strong understanding of threat hunting techniques and cybersecurity incident lifecycle
- Proven experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and advanced threat landscapes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA CASP+) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information security, or a related field
