As a Cybersecurity Consultant at Deloitte, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing our SOAR playbooks, automating threat detection, and responding to security incidents using advanced tools like Cortex XSOAR. If you are passionate about cybersecurity and automation, this is the role for you.

Job Details at a Glance

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & Maintain SOAR Playbooks: Create and optimize playbooks for automated threat detection and response.
• Tool Integration: Integrate various security tools like SIEM, EDR, and threat intel feeds into SOAR.
• Automation & Scripting: Use Python and XSOAR automation engine to create custom scripts for cybersecurity workflows.
• Playbook Optimization: Tune and enhance existing playbooks for performance, accuracy, and reduced false positives.
• Documentation: Write clear documentation for playbook logic, automation scripts, and incident handling procedures.
• Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Provide mentorship to junior analysts (L1) and contribute to SOC (Security Operations Center) knowledge sharing.
• Incident Handling: Lead incident response activities, ensuring best practices are followed.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

• SOAR Experience: Expertise in Cortex XSOAR and SOAR playbook development.
• Python Scripting: Strong hands-on experience with Python for automation.
• SIEM Tools: Proficient in SIEM tools like Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic.
• Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Deep understanding of concepts like malware, phishing, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Incident Response Frameworks: Knowledge of frameworks like NIST and SANS.
• Certifications: SOAR Certified Automation Engineer (desirable).
• Experience in SOC: Prior experience in Security Operations Centers and threat detection is a plus.
