Key Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Consultant – Risk Management, you will:
- Lead and manage programs or products within network security and cyber risk domains.
- Implement and maintain tools such as firewalls, proxies, VPNs, DDoS protection, TLS protocols, and malware scanning solutions.
- Translate complex technical data into business and security insights for leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to drive operational efficiency.
- Apply Agile and hybrid delivery models to security transformation projects.
- Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory obligations in security operations.
- Manage external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives for reliability and efficiency.
- Define and track KPIs, service health metrics, and governance reporting.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts: firewalls, DDoS mitigation, VPN, TLS/SSL, malware scanners, proxies, and web security.
- Hands-on experience with security infrastructure tools and platforms.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with Agile practices, Jira, Confluence, and project management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex security concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Awareness of IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and automation strategies.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or related field.
- 1–3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP preferred.
- Experience leading globally distributed teams is an advantage.
