Deloitte India is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant – SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) for its Cyber Risk team in Mumbai. This opportunity is ideal for cybersecurity professionals with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SIEM content development, security threat detection, and cyber risk analysis. About the Role: SIEM Consultant – Deloitte Cyber Risk Advisory

As a Cyber SIEM Consultant at Deloitte India, you will be responsible for designing and enhancing SIEM solutions, creating detection content, performing log analysis, and responding to potential security incidents. You’ll work closely with security analysts, incident responders, and client stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of cybersecurity monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize SIEM rules, dashboards, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Analyze security logs and events to detect anomalous behavior and potential threats.
• Create use cases for security events and map them to MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Stay updated with evolving cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• Conduct deep-dive investigations using industry-standard security tools and frameworks.
• Maintain SIEM platform health, performance, and log ingestion across multiple sources.
• Reduce false positives and proactively support incident response efforts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during audits and security reviews.
• Draft runbooks for SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) playbooks.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Solid knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar, etc.).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
• Ability to perform vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, and log correlation.
• Familiarity with incident response, risk mitigation, and content management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience integrating unsupported log sources and building custom parsers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields from Tier 1/2 colleges.
• Industry certifications like CEH, CCNA, CSA, GCDA, or Threat Intelligence Analyst preferred.
• 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on SIEM administration and tuning.
