Role Overview
As a Cyber Risk Management Consultant, you will work closely with teams and clients to protect critical assets, manage cyber risks, and improve operational efficiency. You will contribute to strategic network security initiatives, ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance, and security modernization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage programs or products within a Network Security context, preferably in financial services or regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, proxies, network access controls, and cloud security tools.
- Translate complex security data into actionable insights for business and technical teams.
- Work within Agile or hybrid delivery models to ensure project success.
- Present and communicate progress, risks, and achievements to stakeholders and leadership.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement data-driven service improvement plans.
- Drive prioritization of backlog items aligned with security objectives.
- Define and track KPIs to monitor service effectiveness.
- Mentor junior team members and foster continuous improvement.
- Maintain awareness of compliance, risk, and regulatory obligations associated with security operations.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including DDoS mitigation, VPNs, TLS/SSL, malware scanners, and proxies.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and enhance reliability.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and delivering initiatives at scale.
Qualifications
- BE / BTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security operations, or risk management.
- Certifications (preferred): CISSP, CISM, PMP, or equivalent.
