About the Role
As a Consultant – Appian Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing Appian-based enterprise applications that automate workflows and enhance decision-making. Working as part of Deloitte’s AI & Data practice, you’ll contribute to projects that integrate Appian with advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning frameworks, helping clients modernize their business operations.
This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Appian low-code application development, BPM tools, and digital transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Appian Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, and implement Appian applications for enterprise clients using best practices and Appian components.
- Develop end-to-end workflows, business process models, and UI interfaces.
- Integrate Appian with external systems using REST APIs, databases, and third-party applications.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to Deloitte’s coding and security standards.
Project Execution & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with business analysts, data engineers, and architects to deliver high-quality Appian solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, testing, and deployment activities within Agile environments.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Explore new AI and data integration possibilities within Appian.
- Identify automation opportunities and suggest improvements in business processes.
- Stay updated on the latest Appian releases, AI integrations, and digital workflow trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in Appian BPM development, preferably in enterprise-scale environments.
- Certification: Appian L2 Developer Certification (mandatory or preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Appian BPM, Appian SAIL, and Appian Plug-ins.
- Hands-on experience in process modeling, data management, and Appian objects.
- Knowledge of Java, SQL, REST APIs, and web services integration.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving ability, strong analytical mindset, and effective communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating AI and machine learning models within Appian workflows.
- Exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of enterprise data pipelines and data governance frameworks.
