Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise

  • Develop process expertise for identifying and addressing conflicts of interest.
  • Coordinate GDS support for conflict checking across multiple clients.
  • Build domain knowledge of EY service lines, industries, and local characteristics to link conflicts to services.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and identify best practices within conflicts management.
  • Oversee operational, financial, and strategic aspects of conflict checking, including KPIs, TAT, reporting, invoicing, and headcount planning.
  • Implement a robust early warning system for zero-surprise delivery.
  • Conduct training for new and existing GDS conflict checking team members.

Client Management

  • Serve as primary escalation point for conflict checks.
  • Assist leadership in meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Maintain strong client relationships and manage expectations through a robust client management framework.
  • Share regular reports and KPIs with leadership and stakeholders.

People Management

  • Lead performance management and appraisals for team members.
  • Ensure team adherence to conflict checking workflows and tools.
  • Recommend training and development to enhance technical and soft skills.
  • Coach and mentor team members for professional growth.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and focus groups to foster a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with recruitment to ensure optimal team composition and onboarding experience.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree from a reputed institute.
  • Preferably an International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management or similar.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in conflicts management, compliance, or risk management.
  • Exposure to international clients and Big 4 compliance functions preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, knowledge of databases.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of differences between risk advisory and risk management.
  • Public speaking and presentation creation.
  • Critical thinking with ability to solve problems independently using data.
