Summary

PwC India is seeking a Compliance Senior Associate to join its Ethics and Business Conduct – Practice Support team within Internal Firm Services. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Controls, Compliance, Internal Audit, and SOX Compliance, looking to advance their career in risk management, compliance frameworks, and regulatory adherence. You will contribute to designing and implementing robust compliance programs, performing risk assessments, and providing strategic insights that enhance organizational efficiency and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve compliance testing frameworks, methodologies, and checklists.
• Lead and perform compliance testing; supervise team members and provide guidance.
• Evaluate and examine guidelines, policies, and SOPs to refine testing attributes and identify unmitigated risks.
• Review testing documentation to ensure compliance with re-performance standards and update central databases.
• Track progress and follow up on implementation of recommendations with stakeholders.
• Finalize exceptions and collaborate with teams to agree on facts and establish next steps.
• Suggest improvements in risk processes and compliance guidelines to mitigate exceptions.
• Prepare management presentations and reporting decks summarizing compliance testing cycles.
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships and represent the Compliance lead in various forums.
• Contribute to key initiatives such as leveraging analytics, exploring new areas, and implementing compliance tools.
• Support the Compliance lead in quality reporting, project management, recruitment, and training.
• Foster a learning culture through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Promote awareness of compliance requirements throughout the organization.

Education & Qualifications

• Required: CA / MBA / CIA / CS from a reputed institute with prior experience in Controls, Compliance, or Internal Audit.
• Preferred: Additional certifications in risk management, audit, or ethics are a plus.
