Key Responsibilities
Civil & Structural Engineering Support
- Deliver technical expertise for civil and structural engineering in global upstream and downstream ExxonMobil projects.
- Support structural design and analysis of concrete and steel structures, including plant buildings and offshore platforms.
- Conduct structural inspections, rehabilitation, upgrading, and blast-resistant design assessments.
- Perform earthquake, dynamic, and seismic analyses for onshore and offshore assets.
- Design foundations, pilings, drainage systems, paving, and site preparation including tanks, stacks, and flares.
- Lead technical scope development, contractor selection, and quality assurance throughout project execution.
Offshore Engineering Support
- Provide engineering support for offshore fixed and floating structures such as concrete gravity platforms, steel jackets, jack-up rigs, FPSOs, and semi-submersibles.
- Apply fatigue analysis, finite element modeling, and metocean criteria (wind, wave) in offshore design.
- Conduct offshore structural foundation and piling design and assessments.
Collaboration & Safety
- Promote ExxonMobil’s culture of safety, ensuring compliance with safety management systems.
- Interface effectively with manufacturing sites, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations.
- Participate in developing and implementing industry and company engineering standards.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s or postgraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience within refinery, petrochemical complexes, or offshore assets.
- Proven ability to develop and implement structural inspection programs ensuring integrity and reliability.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (SACS, STAAD Pro, CAP).
- Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to evaluate multiple conceptual design alternatives.
- Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Self-motivated with a strong focus on business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience embedded within refinery, petrochemical, or offshore operational environments.
- Expertise in evaluating existing structures and rehabilitation projects.
